| What's eLumit? |
| eLumit is a web site that provides
centralized, free, online access to lighting products from top quality
architectural lighting manufacturers. Here's how it works. First,
specifiers use eLumit's powerful parametric search engine to quickly
find just the right product for their project. Then they log in to
My eLumit, our secure online workspace, to save the products they've
found into project folders. From there, specifiers can instantly generate
custom fixture schedules, specifcations and budgets. Participating
manufacturers gain access to detailed site statistics about their
product lines and can view project specifications when they are released
by eLumit users. It's a win-win situation for designers and manufacturers! |

| Where did eLumit come from? |
eLumit Inc. was founded in 2001
by owners and employees of Horton Lees Brogden Lighting Design Inc.,
a lighting design firm founded in 1968 with offices in New York, San
Francisco and Los Angeles. Like all designers today, we are faced
with tighter deadlines, an expanding product library and the need
to stay current with new products in an increasingly competitive market.
With new manufacturers' websites each year, information is at our
fingertips! …But wait, every website is completely different. As the
internet has become more of a part of our daily work lives, we hoped
to create a tool to make our own jobs easier.
So, we conceived of eLumit - a "one-stop shop" for lighting information.
It's a virtual lighting library and workspace that you can access
from home, from a hotel, or from your client's office. It's a tool
which makes researching and specifying lighting products efficient
and easy.
Early in the site's development, we talked with many designers across
the US who shared our vision of a comprehensive online lighting database
with product data presented in a consistent format. At the same time,
we met with leading US lighting manufacturers and representatives
to understand their concerns and specific information needs. The result
is a search and specification tool that facilitates an unprecedented
level of communication between designers, reps and manufacturers.

| Who's participating? |
| Our goal is to populate the eLumit
database with a core group of quality lighting manufacturers that
supply products to specification-grade projects throughout North America
- the manufacturers that you specify on a daily basis. These manufacturers
financially support the site through annual contracts. We currently
have 60 manufacturers committed and plan to rapidly increase membership
to 200 or more manufacturers by the end of 2007. |

who are all working to make eLumit an essential information tool for
the lighting industry. You can be assured that people who know their
