The Alum Technical Collection’s T-5 platform, Lumex, is a family of innovative architectural luminaires for use with circular T5 fluorescent lamps. Designed for and powered by new fluorescent circular lamp technology, Lumex is available in 14” cable- and pendant-mounted platforms. This versatile line of new technology offers American designers and specifiers unique alternatives to traditional linear fluorescent lighting solutions for office, retail, health care, and public circulation applications. The scale of the lamp affords the opportunity for precise optics. Additionally, Lumex is packaged in an extremely low-profile assembly that is easy to install. A second generation of the highly successful T-5 linear fluorescent lamp, the T-5 circular lamp technology was introduced to U.S. markets just a few years ago. Prescolite is the first manufacturer in the United States to offer a complete system capitalizing on this new opportunity. The leading edge technology represents a dramatic improvement in operating
characteristics compared to existing T-12 and T-8 circular systems and – with a diameter of only 5/8” –is 40 percent smaller than a comparable T-8 system.
